Nike X Kobe

Last Friday, I was fortunate enough to be invited to an advanced screening of Spike Lee’s new film entitled: Kobe Doin’ Work presented by Nike. The music was nice and the footage was great, but I was wanting to see more of what Kobe did off the court. One great thing about the film was being able to see how Kobe’s mind works and you can totally see it through the narrative. It’s too bad other coaches and players might keen in on Kobe’s mindset and find a way to stop him…Naw, jus playing. Anyhow, my man Joe from Cerritos All-Stars, hooked me up with the VIP passes and I was able to bring my homey Julius to the show. The screening was held at the Nike Sportswear store in a theater called the Montalban in Hollywood. They gave out free drinks and snacks, threw out t-shirts to the crowd and even raffled off some Zoom Kobe IV’s. The final raffle of the night was a pair of tickets to Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. Guess who won ‘em?? My boy Julius. And guess who’s going to Game 2 on Thursday with Julius…Me!!
