Mavericks vs. Sonics
April 9th, 2008 by ROB ONE
Last night I got a chance to check out the home of the Dallas Mavericks since I was out in Texas on a business trip. I thought the game turned out pretty cool. I got a chance to see J.Kidd and Dirk, as well as my vote for Rookie of the Year, Kevin Durant. The crowd in Dallas is a little different from what I’m used to in Los Angeles, but it’s all good. Not really a fan of any of these teams…My heart bleeds Purple and Gold if ya’ know what I mean. I got pretty decent seats despite calling Ticketmaster the night before, probably because the Sonics were in town. The food was terrible, but I didn’t go to the game for the food. One thing that really stood out in my mind was that there’s a microphone right by the basket, so whenever the ball hits the rim you could hear it throughout the arena. There were a lot of bricks thrown up so you couldn’t help but hear it. It reminded me of a video game! Also, Josh Howard was rockin’ some ill-ass Jordan VIII player exclusives in White/Grey/Blue. Overall Dallas was a cool experience, however now I gotta fight my way back home to LA since American Airlines canceled thousands of flights throughout the nation and the fact that we have these crazy ass thunderstorms. Can’t wait to get home…I love L.A. Oh yeah, the Mavs beat the Sonics 99-83.
