Oh my goodness! Christmas came to me a little early this year from my Secret Santa coming all the way from the campus in Beaverton, Oregon. I guess I wasn’t naughty this year after all! Anyways, I wanted to share some of the photos of the sneakers that showed up on my doorstep. Some Nike Air Force I Mid Supreme CB34 (Rustic/Dark Cinder/Soft Orange), Nike Air Max Spot Up Dirk Nowitzki Player Exclusives (White/Navy/Silver), and Nike Air Zoom Rebound (Black/Lime Green). Thank you Secret Santa, you shouldn’t have…But I’m glad you did! While I keep the CB34’s on ice, I want to try out the Air Max Spot Up’s and see if I can hit a jumper like Dirk Diggler!

DXC Celebrates 3 Years

Congratulations to our homies Gary and Curtis from Dunkxchange for hittin’ their 3 year mark. It was dope to be out there to celebrate their hard work and efforts. It’s always a positive vibe at these shows because it’s a pretty safe place for kids to try to get their hustle on and at the same time listen to some dope music. I was able to come up on a pair of Jordan IV Black Cats in exchange for some Nike Jordan Dunks. Some cat was tryin’ to slang the Nike Marty McFly Hyperdunks for $1500…I think the dude sold ‘em, too (props to him). Shout out to DJ Butta representin’ all the way from the NYC (see you at cerritosallstars), and DJ Erok from Ek5obition (yo, I still want that Original Gun Clappers t-shirt brotha). Mad props to Anthony & Michael for helpin’ us out. Check out some of the photos at the show.

What up big pimpin’! Sneaker Pimps - the largest sneaker hip hop lifestyle show will be coming to Los Angeles on Friday, August 1st at the Crash Mansion in LA. There will be special guest performances by Public Enemy and Ghostface Killah, as well as the homey’s from U-N-I (Shout out to Y-O and Thurzday). Check out the flyer below to see who else is on deck. Kobe X Spike Lee Joint

First of all if you didn’t catch the Laker game against the Spurs today, y’all missed a good one. Lakers killed ‘em 106-85 to take over for first place in the Western Conference. They also announced during the game that Spike Lee was shooting a documentary of the day in the life of Kobe Bryant. Spike follows Kobe throughout the entire day with 17 cameras and even had unlimited access into the Laker locker room. So, look out for this much anticipated film. It’s a dope spot that carries sneakers, toys and streetwear brands that are not readily available in the area. I actually got a chance to check it out since my flight got canceled and I’m glad I did ’cause I picked up some kicks to take home with me. The crew Hannah, Farris and store owner Darren are hella cool peoples, so don’t be afraid to hit ‘em up. Yo Kev-One…Hannah is a K1X Rep, you need to holla at her! Nike and Kobe Bryant launched the Nike Hyperdunk on April 7th, Nike’s lightest and strongest basketball shoe ever. The Hyperdunk combines two new Nike innovations: Flywire technology and Lunarlite foam. Flywire redefines footwear construction, shaving off weight and adding strength, allowing athletes to be lighter on their feet and faster on the track and on the court. Lunarlite foam features a unique cell structure making it lightweight and ultra responsive as a cushioning system. At only 13.0 ounces, the Nike Hyperdunk is 18 percent lighter than the average Nike basketball shoe. Kobe runs an average of 2.5 miles a game—less weight on his feet means more energy on the court. Kobe is expected to play in the Nike Hyperdunk tonight when the Lakers meet the Clippers. The Hyperdunk hits US retail in late July. There will be a limited run available on www.KB24.com.

Kobe, what are you doing brotha! We need you in the playoffs so we can get another championship. This video was part of a promo for his upcoming sneaker the Hyperdunk which will drop this summer. In case you missed it, the Dunkxchange x World of Dance tour this past Saturday was off the chain! There were a grip of heads out there representin’ from all over the world, staying true to Hip Hop. There were 2 buildings at the Pomona Fairplex that were consumed with people of all ages. I couldn’t believe the amount of Filipinos representin’, despite the Manny Pacquiao fight that night. Majority of my time was spent in the B-boy Arena where there were a lot of ill performers representin’ from all over. My favorite B-boy crews that night were Underground Flow, and Full Force (didn’t have a chance to see all the crews). Mad Props go out to the Jabbawockeez who actually had time to make it out there and to stop by our booth to sign my Jabbawockeez mask. The place was sooo packed I didn’t even get a chance to see them perform. All good though, I’m still voting for them on ABDC. Check out the Gallery for some photos of the event. Big ups to Myron for keeping this dance thing goin’ (Myron hit me up, I still need to get you some BBJ gear). Peace!

Jordan Brand finally revealed the highly anticipated Jordan XX3 today, so I figured I add my 2 cents in. I must say that I had mixed feelings about how the outcome of these sneakers were gonna look like. I was actually comparing the continuous release of a new pair of J’s to all the Friday the 13th movies. They keep coming out with a new one every time. But it’s all good though…these joints lived up to the hype and I’m sure glad that they keep coming out. I’ve been gettin’ used to seeing all the “retro sneakers” out there lately and it’s great to finally see some fresh designs. I’m glad that they didn’t put out some wild colorways on them, and just kept the design classy, modern and sleek. Perfect pair for a Black Tie occasion.
An exclusive limited release of the Air Jordan will launch on Friday, January 25th (White Titanium/University Blue) with a suggested retail price of $230 and also during the NBA all-star weekend available on Saturday, February 16th (White/Black/Varsity Red) at a price tag of $185.
